Ronald James Sharpe, January 30, 1945 - July 5, 2012. Ron passed away peacefully at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre on July 5 at the age of 67 years. Ron was born in Yorkton and was raised on the family farm in the Rokeby district. He pursued his schooling at Rokeby School while working on the family farm. He married Dianne (nee Ferris) on October 20, 1962 and after trying his hand at a few different employment opportunities, returned to the family farm to raise his family. Together Ron and Dianne spent many weekends at the lake enjoying the company of dear friends. Ron was predeceased by his loving wife of 47 years, Dianne, as well as his parents James (Jim) Sharpe and Faye Sharpe. He leaves to mourn his children; Terri Eastwood, Todd (Amy) Sharpe, Patti (Jason) Zayshley; eight grandchildren Chris (Tannis) Sharpe, Jeff and Mike Eastwood; Jake, Jordan, Carter, Gage and Zak Zayshley. As well as his brother Don (Linda) Sharpe and three sisters Beverly (Jim) Craig, Val (Laurie) Jamont and Delores Cantwell (Murray Cairns). Also many other family members and cherished friends. Ron and Dianne's wishes were that they be laid to rest together at a family service to take place at a later date. A special thank you to Joleen, home care nurses as well as the staff at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre for the compassionate care they provided; and to the many friends that helped him out and provided meals for him.
