Leslie Harold Reiman, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at the Yorkton and District Nursing Home at the age of 97 1⁄2 years. Leslie was born on September 9, 1914 at Ebenezer, SK to John and Rose (nee Muth) Reiman. Leslie grew up on the family farm at Ebenezer along with his older brother, Lawrence and his younger sister, Jeanette. Leslie eventually took over the farming operation from his parents. Leslie married Ella Hoffman on November 25, 1944 and they were blessed with three children (Judy, Donald and Cheryl). Leslie and Ella had lived on and managed the family farm for 50 years until they moved into an apartment in Yorkton in May, 1994. After Ella's passing in 1996, Leslie remained a resident in that apartment for about five years. Leslie moved to the Heritage Lodge where he resided for ten years before moving to the Yorkton & District Nursing Home where he lived until his passing. In his younger years, Leslie was very active in the Ebenezer community and served on various committees and boards including the Ebenezer Telephone Company, the Pool Elevator in Ebenezer, and the Ebenezer School Board. In his senior years, he was very active with the Ebenezer Golden Agers. Leslie leaves to celebrate his life, cherish his memory, and will be sadly missed by his three children, Judy (Albert), Don (Debra), Cheryl (Lloyd); as well as his six grandchildren, Bernie (Belinda) Hluchman, Kelly (Sarah) Hluchman, Carla (Clayton) McBroom, Michael Reiman, Sean Estey and Lindsay Estey, and two great-grandchildren, Faria Hluchman and Wyatt McBroom. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Don Hoffman, and three sister-in-laws, Frances Hoffman, Esther Hoffman, and Florence Hoffman, as well as several cousins and many nieces and nephews. Leslie was predeceased by his wife, Ella, in January, 1996 and his granddaughter, Kristen Reiman in June, 1987. He was also predeceased by his parents, his brother and his sister; as well as a niece and numerous cousins and in-laws. If one could sum up Leslie's life in three words, they would be - Life Well Lived. Funeral Service for Leslie Reiman were held on Monday, April 30, 2012 from the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Ebenezer, SK with Pastor Kendall Buhler officiating. The organist, Elaine Patzer, led the congregation in the singing of the hymns, "How Great Thou Art", "Beyond the Sunset", "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" and "Amazing Grace". Leslie was be laid to rest, next to his late wife, in the Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery, Ebenezer, SK. The Pallbearers were Don Reiman, Carla McBroom, Michael Reiman, Lloyd Estey, Sean Estey and Lindsay Estey. The Honorary Pallbearers were the many friends and neighbors that shared in and touched Leslie's life.
