It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Warren Plosz on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the Regina General Hospital, Regina, SK. He was 80 years of age. Warren Gilbert Plosz was born on February 1, 1934, in Cana, SK.  He was the oldest son of nine children born to Frank and Violet (nee Kulbatski) Plosz. Warren grew up in the Waldron District where he enjoyed hockey, ball and especially curling, a sport in which he was involved for many years. Warren later moved to Yorkton where he married Adeline Washenfelder on November 17, 1956. They had one son, Murray who predeceased Warren in 1964. Warren was also predeceased by his parents, Frank and Violet; his brothers, Gerald and Willard; his sisters, Melvie and Blanche; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sophie and Conrad Washenfelder as well as Allan (Ruth) Washenfelder, Dave (Jean) Washenfelder, Jack (Eileen) Washenfelder and Lorraine (Mel) Dobson and brother-in-law, Steve Tsitsos. Warren leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Adeline; his brother, Wesley (Annette); his sisters, Iris (Keith) Armstrong, Joyce (Wes) Powell and Yvonne (Bill) Fofonoff; his sister-in-law, Laureen Plosz; his brothers-in-law, Bert Friestadt and Jack Loewen. Also left to mourn are Keith (Bridgette) Washenfelder and Donny (Marilyn) Washenfelder and sister-in-law, Betty Tsitsos as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and good friends. Funeral Services were held on Thursday, January 8, 2015 from St. Paul Lutheran Church in Yorkton, SK with Pastor Fred Schneider officiating. The organist, Carla Laycock, led the congregation in the singing of the hymns, "Just As I Am", "Church in the Wildwood" and "Amazing Grace". Carla also accompanied the soloist, Jackie Washenfelder, who sang, "You'll Never Walk Alone". Warren's nephew, Trevor Fofonoff, shared words of tribute and eulogy. The Cremation Committal followed in the Yorkton City Cemetery with Warren's Godchild and nephew, Christopher Washenfelder serving as the urn bearer.
