Elizabeth (Betty) Nygren. August 19, 1946 - December 7, 2017. It is with sad and heavy hearts that we share the peaceful passing of Betty Nygren. As she sees the lights of glory she will know that she has fought life’s final war with pain but comforted by her deep and abiding faith in her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Betty leaves to mourn, her mother Margret (Peggy) Macdonald, her husband of fifty years Wayne, her daughter Lisa (husband Greg) Frers, her daughter Jody (husband Tim) Watson and grandchildren Lukas, Grayson, Kai, Zoe and Lucy. Betty also leaves to mourn, her sisters Beryl (husband Sheldon) Schultz, Jackie (Leroy - deceased) Moser, Janet (Don) Hill, brother Robert (Launa) Macdonald, brother-in-law Gary Nygren and sister-in-law Beverly Nygren. Betty was predeceased by her father John Macdonald and her brothers Scott and David Macdonald. Betty was born in Yorkton, SK and grew up in Ebenezer, SK. After High School, Betty took Nurses training in Winnipeg, MB. After marrying Wayne, they moved to Calgary, then to Ottawa, on to Regina, followed by a move to Vancouver in 1983. They settled in White Rock, BC in retirement. Betty loved life and lived it to the fullest. Betty’s priority in her life was her daughters and her grandchildren. Betty loved the outdoors and enjoyed walking, hiking and her favourite, golf. Betty loved cooking and decorating. Christmas was her absolute favourite time of the year and she especially loved decorating for the season. Betty’s whole life was guided by her Christian faith. Her love for God meant everything to her and was reflected in her Godly life.
