Lorence Nowicki passed away July 4, 2012 in his home in Theodore, SK. He was 73 years old. Lorence was born in Springfield, MB, November 1, 1938, the son of Walter Nowicki and Freda Nowicki (Nee Schmelinsky). They moved to Theodore, SK where he was raised with his two sisters, Irene and Margaret. As a young adult he worked as a sheet metal worker in Winnipeg. He then served for a time in the military reserves. He also did construction in Theodore. He and his wife, Katie Nowicki moved to Terrace, BC and had three children, Shirley, Dwayne and Ivan. There he worked many trades, which included; carpentry saw mills, and forestry. Lorence was predeceased by his father, Walter Nowicki, and sister, Margaret. He leaves to mourn his passing, his children, Shirley, Dwayne, and Ivan; mother, Freda, and sister, Irene. As well, he leaves his grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and cousins. In accordance with Lorence's wishes a cremation has taken place and a private family cremation committal will take place at a later date.
