Bernice passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. She was 72 years of age. Bernice was born on April 14, 1944 in the Elfros district. She was the fourth child of seven born to Peter and Catherine Deneschuk. Her childhood years were spent on the family farm at Elfros and then Wroxton. She attended Chaucer and Wroxton Schools and at age 16 began operating the Deneschuk grocery store in Wroxton. In 1959 she met Peter Napady and they were married July 1, 1961. They moved to the Napady family farm at Wroxton where they were blessed with three sons: Faron, Marty and Brian. In the fall of 1976, the family moved to Theodore where Bernice was employed at Hank's Meat Shop, Theodore Hospital and later the Theodore Health Care Centre where she was employed for 21 years as a Cook 2, which she retired from in 2004. She then kept herself busy making thousands of dozen of perogies and cabbage rolls to sell. She enjoyed shopping trips to Yorkton and bingos with her friends. Bernice loved spending time with her family, camping, evening drives in the country with Peter and boat rides and fishing trips with Brian. When she could, she loved to travel, which included her special trip to Maui in 2008. She could always be found in her garden which she thoroughly enjoyed as she had a keen green thumb.
