Kevin Lorne Morris

Kevin Lorne Morris was born October 25, 1961 in Yorkton, SK, the son of Lorne and Beatrice (nee Lee) Morris. He lived with his parents on the family farm near Bangor, SK. He passed away at home on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at age of 55 years. He will be forever missed by his devoted mother, Beatrice; his caring sister, Adele (Rob) Flavel and loving nephews, Nolan (Stephanie) and Curtis (Kristen). Kevin was predeceased by father, Lorne Morris and his grandparents, Riley and May Lee and Bill and Maggie Morris. Kevin was a very special person who was given neverending love and care by his parents throughout all his difficult life. He had an abundance of friends, who all held a special spot in their hearts for him. Kevin will be remembered for having the most cheery smile and a very contagious laugh. He loved a good cup of tea with his meals and snacks. He truly loved visitors at the farm especially small children and dogs. At this time, the family would like to extend a HUGE thank you to all the loyal neighbours and  faithful relatives who helped Beatrice care for Kevin. A Prayer Service was held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from the Chapel of Christie's Funeral Home in Yorkton, SK with Shelly Morris officiating. A special taped music selection, "This Little Light of Mine" was played. The Funeral Service was held on Friday, January 13, 2017 from the Chapel of Christie's Funeral Home with Shelly Morris officiating. The readers were Heather Taylor and Sarah Adam. The organist, Lorne Neal, led the congregation in the singing of the hymns, "This Little Light of Mine", "Jesus Bids Us Shine" and "You Are My Sunshine". The Interment Service followed in the Llewelyn Cemetery, Llewelyn, SK with Curtis Flavel, Nolan Flavel, Blair Morris, Leon Roberts, Dave Herron and Allan Bolton serving as the casket bearers. The family invited all those special friends that made Kevin smile and gave him a helping hand to consider themselves honourary pall bearers. Friends so wishing may forward their condolences to the family by visiting . Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Christie's Funeral Home & Crematorium, Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
