Quan Wei Li, 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 11, 2017 in Regina, SK. Quan is survived by his wife, Hui Feng Li (née Huang); his children, Wendy Chen (Wayne), Sam Li (Sandy) and Wanna Chen (Randy); his seven grandchildren, Helen and Emily, Benny and Aivery and Fiona, Frankie and Andrew; his brother, Kwan Li; as well as many other relatives and friends. Quan was born April 29, 1941 to Tan June and Pei Zheng (Chen) Li in Taishan, Guangdong, China. On December 11, 1968 he married Hui Feng in their hometown. He worked as a teacher and spent his spare time farming. Quan immigrated to Canada on September 13, 1994. In Canada, Quan and Hui Feng spent their time taking care of their grandchildren and helping their children out with their businesses. Quan enjoyed going back to China with his wife during the winters and then would return back to Canada during the spring. Quan had a great passion for gardening, his grandchildren and helping his children in any way he could. Quan was known by many for his constant bright smile and his love for wearing hats. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him. The funeral service was held on Monday, September 18, 2017 from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Crystal Bailey officiating. Tributes to Quan were given by his grandchildren and by Ming Wong. The interment took place in the Garden of Gethsemane with Qu Jim Chen, Song Ren Li, Scott Li, Wayne Ma, Don Ramsey and Louis Wong serving as the casket bearers.
