Myles Andrew Kuzyk was born on May 16, 1940, in Arcola, SK, the son of Andrew and Annie Kuzyk. He died on December 7, 2011, at Good Spirit Lake, SK, at the age of 71 years. Myles grew up on the family farm in Arcola, where he attended school and from the age of 15 worked in his father's Case dealership. Even in his youth, his gentle ways earned him the nickname "Mild-Mannered Myles". In 1967, he began working for New Holland; and in 1968, he married Carol Gottinger. In 1972, their daughter Rachelle (Shelley) was born, followed in 1975 by their second daughter Sherry. For the next several years he worked in a variety of departments for New Holland, and in 1977, became the Store Manager of Yorkton New Holland. In 1983, he moved with his family to Kindersley, SK, to open and manage the New Holland company dealership. In 1985 they returned to Yorkton where he resumed the management position of its New Holland dealership. In 1995, he became the owner and operator of the dealership. Myles retired from New Holland in 2001, and began a retirement career with Hodgins Auctioneers as a Sales Representative, continuing in this role until his recent death. During this time, he was also instrumental in the creation of the Yorkton Parkland Good Sam's Chapter, serving as the first President and this past spring as the Provincial Wagon Master. Myles loved to camp, fish, golf and spend time with family and treasured friends. Among his circle of friends, he was known for his practical jokes and his sense of humour; with his family he was admired for his generosity, wisdom and kindness. He is a great man, deeply loved and greatly missed. Myles will be remembered as an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife, Carol; his daughter, Rachelle (Shelley) and her husband, Cory and their children, Morgan, Evan, Cody and Brayden; his daughter, Sherry and her husband, Larry and their children, Alexandra, Georgia and Luke; his sister, Jean Morissette and many life-long friends. A Service of Remembrance was held on Monday, December 12, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Christie's Funeral Home with Rev. Carolyn Argue officiating.
