A beautiful woman was born on February 12, 1927, the daughter of Nick and Anne (nee Dennis) Witzko - her name, Olga. She was born on the family farm near Canora, SK. Olga received her education at Dnister Country School where she completed her Grade 8. Olga met Joe Kopeck, who had returned home after serving in the army during World War II. They were united in marriage on November 16, 1946 at Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Canora. This union was blessed with five daughters. Joe and Olga built their own house in Canora a little at a time. Olga worked at the Canora Gateway Lodge in the laundry department for 25 ½ years. She loved working outside in her garden, planting flowers, baking, making large meals, entertaining company on Sunday and visiting outside on the steps with the ladies on her block. Olga battled the last four years of her life with dementia. She passed away peacefully on May 26, 2017 at the Canora Gateway Lodge. She was 90 years old. Olga was predeceased by her parents, Nick and Anne; her sisters, Mary and Katherine and her brothers, Bill, Metro and John.  Sadly, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe; her daughters, Darlene Danchilla and Sharon Fedeli and her son-in-law, Tony Fedeli. She leaves to mourn her passing and celebrate her life, her daughters, Millie Kopeck, Stephanie Kopeck and Glynnis (Jeff) Frost; her two sisters, Marge (John) Holowatiuk of Saskatoon, SK, Sylvia (Jacob) Doroshenko of Buchanan, SK; her 11 grandchildren, Teresa Danchilla, Michelle McDonald, Melinda Fedeli, Melissa Fedeli, James Davidson, Joey Davidson, Jerod Davidson, Jenna Davidson, Amanda (Ben) Burym, Candice (Tyler) Tratch, Garrett (Amber) Frost; 18 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and good friends. Requiem Divine Liturgy was sung on Friday, June 2, 2017 from Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Canora, SK with Father Joakim Rac officiating. The cross bearer was Lliam Davidson and the Church Elder was Dave Popowich. The responses were led by cantors, Danny Rokachy and Ernie Kozak. The Interment Service followed in the Canora Town Cemetery with James Davidson, Joey Davidson, Jerod Davidson, Ben Burym, Austin Davidson and Tyler Tratch serving as the casket bearers.
