It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Tanya Mathilda Marie Kirschman on January 26, 2017 at St. Peter's Hospital in Melville, SK with her family by her side. Tanya was born on January 8, 1986 in Yorkton, SK. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Rose Kirschman. Tanya was born in Yorkton and lived all her life here. She received her education here, graduating Grade 12 from the Yorkton Regional High School. Tanya also participated in the 'Volunteens' program at the Yorkton Hospital. She worked at McDonald's in Yorkton while receiving training to become a foster parent, which she completed. Tanya was the main caregiver for her sister Leslie, whom she loved being with all the time. Tanya was also caregiver to her siblings and God-daughter. She enjoyed spending time going out for coffee with friends and family. Tanya loved to knit and also loved baking, cooking, always trying new ideas. In 2015, Tanya moved to Ituna with her spouse Thomas, sister Leslie and brother Tyler. In July of 2016 Tanya was united in marriage to her best friend Thomas. In memory of her father, she gave her uncle Richard the honour of walking her down the aisle at her wedding. She leaves behind to mourn her passing her husband, Thomas Bain; her siblings: Leslie Kirschman, Damara Anderson (Ituna), Tyler Kirschman (Ituna), Ashley Kirschman (Regina), Dionne Kirschman (Regina); auntie Helen Kirschman (Esterhazy) and numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. The funeral service was held on Monday, Feb. 6, 2017 from the Chapel of Bailey's Funeral Home in Yorkton with Crystal Bailey officiating. Chrissy Forrell gave the eulogy. Musical selections were 'Home', 'Back at One', 'Mansion Over the Hilltop', 'Holy Water', 'Seven Spanish Angels', 'God Bless the Broken Road', 'In the Sweet By & By' and 'See You Again'. The interment took place in the Yorkton City Cemetery with Jason Maisey, Shawn Forrell, Charlie Johnson, Duane Krall, Derrick Lemioer and Devan Sailkin. The honourary casket bearer was Michael Young.
