Clifford Harmon Kerr was born to Garton and Minnie (nee Callander) Kerr on December 31, 1920 in the elevator house in Tonkin, SK. Clifford was the only son and had two sisters, Ethel and Reta. Clifford attended school in Dunleath where he excelled at all things scholastic. Clifford chose to follow the path of his predecessors and took to farming. Clifford farmed both cattle and grain just east of Dunleath for many years. In July 1945 Clifford married the first love of his life, Dorothy Gilbert. Together they had one daughter, Bernice Isobel born December 28, 1947. Bernice suffered from Cerebral Palsy but together Clifford and Dorothy cared for her in their home until 1976 when Dorothy lost her battle with cancer. Clifford and Dorothy spent their days together toiling on the farm as well as being involved in various church and community events. On April 7, 1979 Clifford married the second love of his life, Isabel Goulden. Isabel settled on the farm with Clifford. Clifford at this time became a step father to Isabel's children Lingard (Rex) and Eunice. On May 2. 1988, Bernice passed away and was laid to rest alongside her mother, Dorothy. Isabel and Clifford enjoyed their lives together travelling to the Maritimes, Alaska, ON and BC. They spent hours in the garden during the summer and at the Tonkin Curling Rink in the winter. They also spent many nights playing cards and the board game Aggravation with friends. In 2002 Clifford and Isabel left the farm and moved into Victoria Court in Yorkton. They enjoyed participating in the various activities and meeting new people who lived in the building. In 2008 Clifford moved to the Bentley Retirement Community where he was able catch up with old friends and continued visiting Isabel in the Yorkton District Nursing Home several times a week until her passing in October, 2009. In 2011, Clifford moved to Aspen Bluff Villas. It was there that Clifford passed away peacefully on June 25, 2012. Clifford loved farming; he enjoyed his cattle, draught horses and grain. Even after retirement he still enjoyed crop checking in his old Ford Custom pickup truck. Clifford became a loving grandfather to his six grandchildren, Pamela, Michelle and Thomas Goulden, Travis, Alanna and Tyson Off. Clifford took great pride and enjoyment in watching sporting events, skating carnivals, dance recitals, Christmas concerts and graduation ceremonies. Clifford was predeceased by his parents, Garton and Minnie; his first wife, Dorothy; his second wife, Isabel; his daughter, Bernice; his step daughter, Eunice; his sisters, Ethel and Reta as well as numerous in laws of the Kerr, Bryan and Gilbert families. Clifford leaves to celebrate his memory and cherish his life his step son, Lingard (Randy) Goulden of Yorkton, SK; his son in law, Larry Off of Dunleath, SK; his grandchildren, Pamela (Darrell) McLeod of Saskatoon, SK and their children, Johnathon and Ella, Michelle Goulden (Jamie Shullman) of Yorkton, SK and her children, Kathryn and Zachary, Thomas (Jennifer) Goulden of Stony Plain, AB and their children, Calen and Amarah, Travis (Kyla) Off of Saskatoon, SK, Alanna (Joel) Armbruster of Saltcoats, SK and Tyson Off of Dunleath, SK as well as many other family members and friends. Funeral Services were held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 from the Chapel of Christie's Funeral Home in Yorkton, SK with Reverend Catherine Pace officiating. The organist, Carla Laycock, led the congregation in the singing of the hymns, "Bringing in the Sheaves", "In The Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross". Pamela McLeod shared words of tribute and eulogy. The readings were given by Larry Off and Michelle Goulden. The Cremation Committal followed in the Yorkton Memorial Gardens, Garden of St. Matthew with Travis Off serving as the urn bearer.
