KELLER - Curtis Robert Keller, beloved son of Michael and Cindy Keller, passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 10, 2017. He was 32 years of age. Curtis was born on October 6, 1984 in Yorkton, SK. He was the youngest of three boys. Curtis attended elementary and high school in Yorkton, graduating from YRHS in 2002. After graduation, Curtis spent time on the oil rigs with his brother, Justin. He then ventured to Vancouver where he worked for a scaffolding company - recalling scary stories of scaffolding hi-risers to his family. Curtis loved the family farm. For the past nine years, he helped his Dad and brother, Scott, through seeding and harvest. From sun up to sun down and even beyond, Scott and Curtis would always get the job done. His easy-going personality, drive and determination made it less stressful during those long hours. Curtis would always pull into the yard, greeting the kids with a toot of the horn on the grain truck - something that the kids loved and anticipated from their uncle. In the off season of farming, Curtis had a passion for Construction. The bigger the equipment, the better. He most recently worked for Ungar Construction. Curtis also had a love for cooking and you'd find him working evenings and weekends at Big Zees Pizza. He loved being creative and hot sauce was always one of his favourites. Curtis also loved his motorcycle and enjoyed the freedom of the open road. He had a passion for music at a young age and loved playing his guitar. You'd often find him singing his tunes in his free time, or even performing for his niece and nephews. He loved to have fun with them and had the patience and kindness that every child looks for in an uncle. Curtis was always there to help his family and friends. Whenever you needed him, he was a phone call away. He was extremely loyal to his family and would do anything for them. We are so very grateful for the unconditional love and support he has shown us. Curtis was predeceased by his grandparents, Katherine and Mike Keller; his uncle Ron Keller and his aunt Sharon Courtney. Left to remember him are his mother, Cindy; his father, Michael (Carla); his brothers, Scott (Samantha) and Justin (Sharon); his nephews Gage, Ashton, Hunter, Jett, Kaleb and Ethan; his niece Sadie; his Aunt Joy (Kerry) and cousins Kaylan and Sara; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The funeral service was held on Sunday, August 20, 2017 from Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Rev. Louis Kim Nguyen and Crystal Bailey officiating. The reader was Carla Schinkel and the urn bearer was Justin Keller. Memorials may be made to the Yorkton S.P.C.A. or to any animal rescue charity. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.baileysfuneralhome.com.
