Max Hrycay. Passed away peacefully in his 92nd year on July 17, 2016, with his family by his side. Survived by his loving wife Carol (nee Dunn) of 61 years and children; Bill (Gabrielle), Jim (Madonna Beale), Susan Novosad (John) and Mary. Beloved Dido to Jason (Shannon), Justine Arbour (Matt), Kevin Wiles, Sean Wiles (Kerri Jenkins) and 5 great-grandchildren; Declan and Liam Hrycay and Ethan, Carleigh and Owen Wiles. Brother of Olga Mazuren (Winnipeg), Morris (Vancouver), Helen Reed (predeceased), Martha Farnell (Calgary), Bill (Toronto) and Andrew (Melville, SK). Brother-in-law of Vic Dunn (predeceased), Leon Dunn (predeceased), Bill Dunn (predeceased), Ella Chauvin (predeceased), Ron Dunn (predeceased) and Linda Marentette. Max was born in the Ukraine, came to Canada in 1926 where the family homesteaded in Saskatchewan. Max eventually came to Windsor in 1950. Max was a very generous and caring father, godfather, cousin and a wonderful uncle to many nieces and nephews. His love of wood working will provide many treasured memories for all members of the family. Private family time was held followed by cremation. The family wishes to thank all of the wonderful and caring staff and volunteers at the Erie Shores Campus (Leamington) of The Hospice of Windsor & Essex County. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice of Windsor Essex County would be appreciated.
