Elroy Mervin 'PeeWee' Gehring passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 66 years of age. Elroy was born on October 25, 1950 to Edward and Mary Gehring in Fenwood, SK and later resided in Yorkton. He was the youngest of five. He enjoyed fishing, going for coffee with friends, driving truck and working in his shop. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Mary Gehring; he leaves to honour his memory and to celebrate his life his brothers and sisters, Alvin (Betty-Lou) Gehring of Regina; Marlene Gehring of Yorkton; Shirley Melnechenko of Yorkton; Warren (Sandi) Gehring of Calgary. His nieces and nephews: Penny (Jack) Simmons and Duane Gehring of Regina; Curtis (Margo) Melnechenko of Yorkton, Cindy (Aaron) Fisher of Yorkton and Kevin Melnechenko of Chilliwack; Amber (Noel) Allen and Chelcey (Rory) Bonebrake of Calgary as well as many great-nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place. There will be a family graveside service in the spring in the Garden of St. Mark at the Yorkton Memorial Gardens. Condolences can be left at .
