DYER - Dalton

Dalton Harvey Dyer passed away on December 5, 2011 at St. Peter's Hospital in Melville, SK. He was surrounded by his most important people, his family. He was 83 years of age. Dalton was born in the Carlyle District on September 24, 1928 and lived and worked in Estevan most of his life until he moved to Yorkton to be near his son, Kent in 2007. During his career Dalton worked for Haliburton and Steelman Gas (later Dome Petroleum and Enbridge). Dalton retired in the early 1990's and after doing so spent his time with family and friends. He enjoyed nothing more than visiting his brother and his sisters and their families in Calgary, Taber and Medicine Hat. Clint, Judy and Fae always enjoyed hosting him. Dalton is predeceased by his beloved wife Donelda Irene (nee Wallace), his son, Craig, and his brother, Clint. He leaves to celebrate his life his daughter, Janice Dyer (Gary Brown); his son, Kent Dyer (Susan Robertson); his granddaughters, Christine (Randy) Strilaeff and their daughters, Lyssa and Rya; and Kathleen Brown; his daughter-in-law, Irene Dyer; and his sisters, Judy (Lowell) Sheppard, and Fae (John) Young. Dalton's life was honoured with a Celebration of Life Service at St. Paul's United Church in Estevan on Saturday, December 10th at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Dalton Dyer to the Saskatchewan Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of one's choice.
