DUSSOME - Byron Marshall Dussome was born on September 16, 1970 in Yorkton, SK, the son of Florence (nee Houle) and the late James Dussome. Byron received his education at various schools around the Yorkton area. After completing his education, Byron relocated to Calgary, AB where he worked in construction as a carpenter's helper. He met his life partner, Noela Ledoux and together they were blessed with three children, Jessica, Jilles and Janeen. Byron was a happy-go-lucky guy. He liked joking around and had a smile for everyone. His favourite pastimes were playing croquet, ball, hockey and cards. An avid fisherman, he also enjoyed hunting and camping. Byron loved music and loved to dance. Throughout his lifetime, Byron was not a healthy man. He always had trouble with his lungs and was in hospital many times. In the last few years his illness intensified, necessitating a need for constant oxygen. He was in the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, AB awaiting a lung transplant when he passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017. Byron was predeceased by his father, James Dussome and his brother-in-law, Colin Ledoux. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his mother, Florence Houle; his partner, Noela Ledoux; his children, Jessica, Jilles and Janeen; his brothers, James (Vivian) of Vancouver, BC and Lynol of Vancouver, BC; his sister, Lois (Jaydo) Jacobs of Calgary, AB; his niece, Amanda and nephew, Tristan as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He will always be remembered for his smile and his friendship for all. A Wake was held at the Yorkton Friendship Centre in Yorkton, SK commencing on September 26, 2017. A Prayer Service was held that evening, also from the Friendship Centre, with Mary Bybliw serving as the Lay Presider. Special music was provided by Hilda Bone and the hymns were "Amazing Grace", "Psalm 116", "Lord, I'm Coming Home" and "Dancing in the Sky".
