Mrs. Helen Draper, formerly of Yorkton, widow of Ken Draper, passed away on March 19, 2016 at the Estevan Regional Nursing Home. She was 91 years of age. Helen Beth (Bette) Draper was born on May 21, 1934 at Melita, MB to Helen and Bill Harmon. She was united in marriage to Ken Draper on November 27, 1944. The couple moved to Thunder Bay in 1947 their children Robert and Shirley were born. The family moved to Yorkton in 1965. Here Bette worked at Croll's for 16 years. She spent many hours volunteering in particular the Presbyterian Church Camp, the Friendship Centre and the Soup Haven. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Ken in 1975, four sisters Mona, Marj, Dorothy and Joyce; brothers Bill and Jack; also parents-in-law, brothers-in-law Wilf and Eddie; sisters-in-law Mae Hathaway, Marlene & Joan Harmon and Anne Draper. Helen leaves to cherish her memory her son, Robert (Chris), his children Terri, Karen and R.J.; her daughter Shirley (Paul), her children Mathew, Kristin (Dave Kulach) and their children Axel and Danica Kulach; also brothers Dick & Stewart (Nancy); sister-in-law Joyce Harmon and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Crystal Bailey, Certified Celebrant officiating. The organist, Marilyn Newell will lead in the singing of the hymns, "Church in The Wildwood", "Amazing Grace" and "In The Sweet Bye and Bye". The eulogy will be presented by Janice Lucas. The interment will take place in the Garden of St. Mark at Yorkton Memorial Gardens with grandsons, R.J. & Mathew serving as the urn bearers. Memorials honouring Bette's life may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation as gifts of remembrance. Condolences may be sent to the family at .
