Heather Diane Janis Debnam

Heather Diane Janis Debnam was born October 25, 1946 to John and Belva Morrison. Heather was raised in Esterhazy along with her two brothers and sister. Heather married Barry Debnam June 6, 1964. Heather and Barry lived in Churchbridge where they raised two sons, Shannon and Michael. Heather was a full-time homemaker. When her sons were in hockey, Heather spent many hours volunteering in the arena kitchen, sometimes as early as 5:00 in the morning for the breakfast shift. Heather was a member of the Saskatchewan Ladies Curling Association through the Churchbridge Ladies Curling Club. She volunteered for Donor's Choice canvassing the surrounding farms. She was an avid bingo player when the arena board held bingo in the local Community Center.  In recent years, Heather enjoyed reading, word puzzles, watching curling on TV and having a good visit with friends and family over a cup of coffee or tea. There was nothing Heather enjoyed more than when her grandchildren came for a visit. She would take time to have a visit and find out what they were up to. Heather was predeceased by her parents, John and Belva; sister, Sharon (Don) Kuhnie: brother, Clayton (Sally) Morrison and sister-in-law, Marge Morrison. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Barry; brother, Rod Morrison; sisters-in-law, Eileen (Bert) Schikowsky and Charlotte Suiter; sons, Shannon (Carolyn) and Mike (Carla); grandchildren and great-grandchild and also, many nieces, nephews and friends. A Memorial Service was held on Monday, February 27, 2017 from Concordia Lutheran Church in Churchbridge with Pastor Daphne Bender officiating.
