John Brian George. George Dawson passed away suddenly on December 2, 2011. He was born on October 24, 1937 in Vancouver, BC and worked as a teacher all over Canada. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; his three children, Doug, Cindy and Suzanne; and his six grandchildren, Kyle, Kyra, Kieanna, Dominic, Phoenix and Jordan. A special thanks to friends of the family and the Yorkton RCMP, Victim Services, EMS, and Yorkton Regional Health Centre - ER staff for their extraordinary assistance. George will be missed, but never forgotten. The celebration of George's life took place on December 7, 2011 from the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Ebenezer, SK with Pastor Kendall Buhler officiating. The organist, Elaine Patzer led the congregation in the singing of the hymns, "There is Power in the Blood", "In The Garden" and "Softly and Tenderly". Special music was shared by soloist, Amanda Buhler who sang, "Under His Wings". A slide presentation was played in tribute to George's life. The interment followed in the Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery, Ebenezer, SK with Cindy Dawson, Michael Easton, Al Robertson, Garth Clary, Warren Gogol and Norm Klingspon serving as the casket bearers.
