It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Frances Matild Dawe (nee Buxton) on February 22, 2012 just a few days short of her 94th birthday. Frances was born in Zeneta, SK. on March 2, 1918. She grew up on the family farm enduring the hardships of the day but embracing it with a cheerful heart. She found great pleasure in loving her many horses and dogs and the pursuit of learning. Later in life she found fulfillment in caring for the elderly at Anderson Lodge in Yorkton, SK. Frances married the love of her life, Frederick Dawe, on June 30, 1941 and their family grew with the addition of sons Clifford and Milford. They lived in many locations throughout Saskatchewan and Manitoba as Fred worked for the CNR, until they they retired in Yorkton in 1975. Frances leaves to mourn and celebrate her life: son Clifford Dawe and wife Janet; son, Milford Dawe and wife Marian; sister, Enid Johnson; grandchildren; Sandra Mansell and husband Blair, Arlen Dawe and wife Tess; Loretta Irvine and husband Tyler; Amie Dawe-Cook and husband Ryan; and Christopher Dawe; great grandchildren Coral Mansell, and Brianna Mansell; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Frances was predeceased by: husband, Frederick Dawe, father and mother Herbert Samuel Buxton and Frances Buxton sister Amy Louise Meyer; brother Herbert Edwin Buxton and brother Harold James Buxton.
