Dennis Milton Borys was born on December 21, 1951 in the Queen Victoria Hospital in Yorkton, SK. The son of Michael and Grace (nee Donald) Borys, Dennis grew up on the family farm at 17-24-3 W2M (Peachview District) and started school in the district as well. He later attended Dr. Brass School in Yorkton. At the age of 15 years, Dennis began to actively farm. With the exception of various jobs he worked on the side to supplement his farming income, Dennis continued to farm until this past fall, his final harvest. Dennis was predeceased by his father, Michael. He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory, his mother, Grace; his partner, Darlene; his brother, Douglas (Lynda) and his sisters, Carol (Murray) and Marie (Allen); his treasured grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many good friends. A Visitation for Family and Friends was held on Thursday, January 5, 2012 from the Chapel of Christie's Funeral Home & Crematorium in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. The Funeral Service was held on Friday, January 6, 2012, also from the Chapel of Christie's Funeral Home with Reverend Ken Buchan officiating. The organist, Mrs. Ruth McPhee, led the congregation in the singing of the hymns, "The Old Rugged Cross", "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art". A special taped music selection, "Hallelujah" was also played. Dennis' brother-in-law, Allen Miller shared words of tribute and eulogy. The interment followed in the Yorkton City Cemetery with Douglas Borys, Murray Silzer, Allen Miller, Mark Rowan, Jason Miller and Katherine McDowell serving as the casket bearers.
