Mrs. Florence Bobowski, beloved wife of the late William "Bill" Bobowski of Yorkton, SK, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre after a brief illness. Florence was born on November 22, 1922 in the Canora District, the daughter of George and Annie (nee Stoshnoff) Zietsoff. She grew up on the family farm and attended school in the district. Florence met Bill Bobowski at a dance in the Veregin district. The couple were united in marriage and were blessed with two boys, Wayne and Dan. In time she was also blessed with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Florence spent most of her working career employed at the Yorkton Hospital as a Dietary Aid. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing cards with friends, jigsaw puzzles and watching television - especially game shows and CNN. Florence was predeceased by her husband, Bill in 2004; her parents, George and Annie; her siblings, Mike, Laura, Polly and Mary. She will be sadly missed by her sons, Wayne (Judy) of Yorkton, SK and Dan (Fran) of Vancouver, BC as well as her grandchildren, Crista of Edmonton, AB, Debbie (Andre) of Saskatoon, SK, Ty (Marnie) and their son, Locke of Vancouver, BC and Beau (Alesa) of Vancouver, BC; her cousin, Mabel of Regina, SK as well as many friends and other relatives. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from the Chapel of Christie's Funeral Home in Yorkton, SK with Kathy Novak serving as the Funeral Celebrant. Special taped music selections included, "Amazing Grace", "Just a Closer Walk With Thee", "Let Her Fly" and "Make Me a Channel of Your Peace". The Cremation Committal followed in the Yorkton City Cemetery with Florence's son, Wayne Bobowski serving as the urn bearer.
