Gordon Berting, husband of Nettie Berting of Yorkton, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Regina General Hospital. Gordon was sixty-seven years of age. Gordon was born on June 10, 1949 in Bengough, SK. Gordon was pre-deceased by his parents Hubert and Lillian (nee Nagy) Berting and his younger brother David and is survived by his younger sister Gloria. Gordon grew up on a farm in Willowbrook, SK, later moving to Yorkton to finish his schooling. During his life he hauled gravel, drove taxi, worked at RAM Industries, worked for several trucking companies and completed his career as a long haul truck driver with Promax Transport. Gordon is survived by his lovely wife Nettie who he has been married to for over 47 years. He is also survived by his eldest daughter Stacy, middle daughter Tammy and her husband Todd and youngest daughter Tara, her husband Ian and their children Paige and Presley. Gord was and is loved deeply by family, friends, neighbours, workmates and people he's met along the way. He will continue to be loved, missed and never forgotten. Funeral Services were held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Doreen Day, Certified Celebrant officiating. Tributes and words of remembrance were given by Tammy Ivanochko and Ian Gordon. Special musical selections were "The Gambler", "Always On My Mind" and "Life Is A Highway".
