Gloria Carol Baranesky (nee Frederickson) passed away on May 28, 2012 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre in Yorkton, SK. She was 66 years of age. Gloria was born on December 16, 1945, the daughter of Arthur and Gladys (nee Owen) Frederickson. She was raised in the Jedburgh area and attended the Beaver School. Later when the family moved to Theodore she also attended school there. On October 26, 1962, Gloria married Peter Baranesky and the couple made their home in Theodore, where they raised their two children, Bunny and Lloyd. Over the years, Gloria worked at the Craft Store in Yorkton, Johnson's Butcher Shop in Theodore and Diana May Clay in Theodore. She played softball for the Theodore Ladies' Tigerettes and was an avid curler who participated in many bonspiels. Gloria loved to bake and cook, loved gardening and crafting but most of all loved time spent with the family and friends. Gloria was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Gladys Frederickson, numerous aunts and uncles, two brothers-in-law and one nephew. Gloria leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory, her husband, Peter and their two children, a daughter, Bunny (and her husband, Dwayne) along with their three children, Ken (his wife, Jaimie and their children, Jenna and Jack), Jennifer (her husband, Sean and their children, Keira, Zaden and Ryder) and Jennet; and a son, Lloyd (and his wife, Connie) and their son, Brendan. She also leaves to mourn her brothers, Leo (Eva) Frederickson, Arnold (Irene) Frederickson and Glenn (Mavis) Frederickson; two sisters, Mabel Hansen and Dorothy Leite as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many good friends. A Memorial Service for Gloria was held on Saturday, June 2, 2012 from the Chapel of Christie's Funeral Home in Yorkton, SK. with Reverend Faye Greer officiating. The organist, Carla Laycock, led the congregation in the singing of the hymns, "How Great Thou Art", "Just A Closer Walk With Thee" and "The Church in the Wildwood".
