Preeceville students acknowledged for excellence in contest

Preeceville School students showcased their entries In the Intermediate, color poster category of the Preeceville Royal Legion Remembrance Day poster and literacy contest.

PREECEVILLE - The Preeceville Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 188, presented students at the Preeceville School with certificates for their winning entries in the Remembrance Day Poster and Literary contest.

Preeceville School students were presented awards for black and white, and color posters, as well as and intermediate literacy on November 17.

The top three winners in the junior literacy category were: Chloe Viacrucis, first; Yischa Villar, second and Wyatt Scheller, third. In the junior color poster category, Leah Thideman placed first, Sieanna King placed second and Trinity Petras won third place. In the junior black and white poster category, Maggie Ivanochko won first place, Boden Heskin placed second and Conner Burym won third place.

In the intermediate black and white poster category, Addison Danielson placed first, Carter Scheller placed second and Aron Irlandez placed third. In the color poster category, Fiona Pinaroc placed first, Sarah Masko finished second and Izzy Payette placed third.

"Each year, in November, the Royal Canadian Legion launches its Poster and Literary Contest," said William Lesko, Legion member.
