OUTLOOK - Residents of not just Outlook, but the whole west central portion of the province had reason to stay indoors early last week, and it had nothing to do with the heat.
A heavy smoke presence permeated the local area for two days between Tuesday and Wednesday, May 16 and 17, stemming from the forest fires burning in both northern Saskatchewan and Alberta. A switch in the wind direction ended up bringing fuzzy landscapes to the wide open prairies and muzzled a lot of the sun's visibility in the later times of each day.
By Thursday of last week, the smoke was largely gone and the weather had gotten back to normal conditions, with the Victoria Day long weekend bringing optimal warm temperatures ranging from +26 to +30.
