OUTLOOK - It was a whirlwind of activity stepping into the Jim Kook Rec Plex in Outlook on Friday, February 14.
Outlook High School, together with the local School Community Council, hosted its annual Telemiracle hockey game, which this year also featured some curling going on on the other side of the rink.
Between school mascot Sharky, Telemiracle's Teddy, a bunch of cows zipping around from SaskMilk, as well as the rambunctious student body, the rink was a hotbed of activity which caused this reporter's eyes to dart back toward what he was seeing on more than one occasion.
A game between two student teams saw the winning squad finally go up against a team comprised of teachers and local residents, with everyone else cheering loudly from the bleachers.
When all the dollars had been counted up, just over $1800 had been raised from the event that will go to Telemiracle 49.
OHS thanks the public for their support of this yearly event, and both staff and students hope local residents, as well as those from around Saskatchewan will be watching this Saturday night when students will appear on Telemiracle itself at approximately 9:30 pm to present the school's donation. The longtime telethon will be broadcast kicking off at 9:00 on Saturday night and going into late Sunday afternoon around the province.
