OUTLOOK - The town of Outlook recently learned of its standing in the nationally-known Communities in Bloom program, which recognizes community participation in projects involving beautification, heritage and environmental awareness.
Registered in the 'Evaluated Friends' category, Outlook garnered four blooms after judges came to town to explore and learn more about the riverside community.
Student volunteers from Outlook High School, Outlook Elementary School, LCBI High School, as well as more volunteers from Luther Place and residents of the community helped tidy up yards and businesses in preparation for the visit from judges.
The judges handed out marks in a number of categories, including those that recognize efforts to mitigate and adapt to climate change. The town of Outlook garnered the following scores in each of Communities in Bloom's areas:
