OUTLOOK - With pandemic restrictions already easing in the province of Saskatchewan, the town of Outlook is gearing up for a summer that won't be easily forgotten.
Two events are in the planning stages, with one of them making its return to the community for the first time since 2019.
The Outlook Riverbank Rodeo will welcome bull-riding fans back to the outdoor venue located south of LCBI High School on August 12 & 13 for the third edition of the event. The rodeo was on the shelf during the COVID-19 pandemic, missing out on the 2020 and 2021 events.
Secondly, the multi-day event that brought out a ton of people over the Thanksgiving long weekend last October was so successful that it's happening again during the last weekend of May over the 27th, 28th and 29th. Formerly known as Food Truck Wars, this event carries the title of The Great Canadian Food Fight and promises local vendors and live entertainment in addition to the lineup of culinary offerings that will be available.
More details on both events will be forthcoming in the months ahead, and for those on Facebook, they're being encouraged to follow the Outlook & District Heritage Museum's page.
Apparently, the Irrigation Capital of Saskatchewan is looking to become the place to be in 2022 for fun and community-oriented events as everyone turns the collective page and tries to move past the pandemic.
