OUTLOOK - It was a gathering of ghouls, monsters and everything in between at the Outlook Civic Centre on Saturday night, October 28 when the Small Steps Early Learning Centre held their second annual Halloween party event.
The building was decorated to the nines in spooky garb, while tables offering everything from popcorn to candy allowed patrons to really unwind and have a good time.
With music by DJ Brocky B, the silent auction tables were also a hit with people before the night's entertainment took to the stage. Double Vision, a twin magic and comedy act featuring Saskatchewan-based entertainers Michael and Mitchell Hrycan, wowed those in attendance and produced plenty of laughs with their show, which borrowed a number of people from the audience.
There were also chances for people to take home some cold hard cash courtesy of a live 50/50 that was held. By the time it was drawn, the total had amassed $6,600, and the winner, Grayson McDonald, took home $3,300.
The daycare centre is in the midst of undergoing an extensive facelift with renovations and construction ongoing. It's expected that Small Steps will be looking to hire 10 full-time educators as early as next May.
