The past few weeks have been very hectic in the Yorkton Regional High School's music department, regarding this year's musical. The cast and crew have put in countless hours of hard work perfecting the musical, "Footloose". For those who do not know the story of "Footloose", it is about a town who when faced with tragedy, bans dancing. A young man moves into town and challenges the law and asks the town council to lift the ban. This musical is a fun, family must-see and it is coming very soon! Show times are Friday, December 7 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, December 8 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, December 9 at 2:00 p.m. The doors open half hour before the show starts. Advance tickets for Adults are $13.00 and children (10 & under) are $8.00, all tickets at the door are $15.00. In past years all three shows have been packed, so it is advised to buy tickets now! Tickets are available from the YRHS main office, Fuzztone Music, Louck's Pharmacy, and Sangster's.
The YRHS is collecting non-perishable food items and children's toys to be donated to families in need for the holidays. Students will be collecting these items in their RCR (Raiders Connecting Raiders) groups. If you have any non-perishable food items or children's toys you would like to donate, please drop them off in the YRHS's main office.
