LOOKING BACK... A Decade Ago

Brian Bolduc, who had worked as the Kamsack director of utilities for about three years, resigned to move to work in Manitoba and his job was taken over by Dennis Wishnevetski, who had been training to do the job for nearly 15 years.

About 70 young athletes had registered to play with the Kamsack Minor Hockey Association for the 2005-06 season.

Raymond L. Shingoose of Yorkton and a member of the Cote First nation, was one of three candidates for the office of fourth vice-chief of the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations (FSIN).

It was announced that Kamsack would be one of five Saskatchewan communities that would host a four-day basic emergency management course in January.

Members of the Victoria School Kindergarten class who participated in a medieval day with Kendra Hrychyshyn, the teacher, included: Madyson Wozniczka, Joshua Badger, Brooke Hausermann, Tori Todosichuk, Elisabeth Ashley, Madeline Benneke, Mason Hausermann, Emma Keshane, Denton Dietz, Nicholas Tomochko and Courtney Chutskoff.

The Kamsack Credit Union was advertising a special meeting of members to vote on the proposed amalgamation of it with Affinity Credit Union and the Eastshore Credit Union.
