Raider for a day planned

It has been an exciting past few weeks in the land of orange. The band had an extra exciting trip to Banff. On their return trip, one of the buses hit the ditch and they were forced to stop their progress and spend the night in the Morse town hall.

It has been an exciting past few weeks in the land of orange. The band had an extra exciting trip to Banff. On their return trip, one of the buses hit the ditch and they were forced to stop their progress and spend the night in the Morse town hall. Morse numbers only approximately 236 people and their population grew by about 100 Yorkton Regional High School Band students for about 24 hours as the students waited for their travel to resume. Rather than remain idle as they waited for the bus, many students chose to shovel snow in the community of Morse, clearing drive ways and sidewalks of previous night's snow. It would seem that the school's "Pay it Forward" campaign from the beginning of the year had left its mark on the students. The YRHS Band and the entire Yorkton Regional High School would like to thank the community of Morse for their kindness and hospitality.

On March 21, the YRHS will be holding "Raider for a Day". Any and all grade eight students are welcome to sign up, just contact the school at (306)-786-5560. Students will get to see what a regular day in the YRHS is like and possibly learn a little nit about the school.
