Dear Editor:
With the end of this physical year of 2011. Many different occurances reflected this year. The prime example was the teachers strike. Different opinions from near and far. Both pros and cons of the general public. My opinion from the eyes of one mother with a child with diverse learning abilities is that of "teachers matter". From his beginning of Kindergarten until now he has had some positive influences in his life. From the principal who believed in his potential to that of all the teachers spending extra time at home to help him succeed in the best way. Yes it took teamwork for him to succeed. Book knowledge never wagered in his life. It was the faith, love and dedication of those involved. I'm proud of those like Mr. Gendur, Mrs. Pfeifer, Mr. McDowell, Mr. Schendel. They've learned so much from him and he has learned so much from them. Yes I did my part but it was the teamwork that made the difference. Thanks teachers from a grateful Mom.
