YORKTON - The Yorkton Regional High School Raider Gridders are back on the field for the 2023 season.
Friday YRHS took to the gridiron in preseason action versus Regina Campbell Tartans, a 6A school.
The Tartans might be a level up from the 5A Raider Gridders but Yorkton proved more than the equals of the Regina squad squeaking out a 27-19 win.
Tyson Korol had a huge day for Yorkton scoring two rushing touchdowns and one TD receiving.
Chase Batke had one TD pass and picked-off an interception too.
Parker McDowell also had a receiving TD for Yorkton.
This Saturday, Sept 9, the Raider Gridders host Moose Jaw Peacock at Century Field to start the regular season.
