United closes out summer season, AGM coming up

With the conclusion of the summer soccer season, the Yorkton United FC would like to announcethat the Yorkton United F.C. Annual General Meeting will be held on Oct. 20 at 7 p.m., downstairs at the Yorkton Legion.

All members areencouragedto attend as well as submit their names forvolunteerpositions on the YUFC board.

The board would also like to extend a big thanks to all of the coaches and team managers that volunteer their time with the club.

The board would also like to extend a thanks to both the Good Spirit School Division and the Christ The Teacher School Division for the use of their fields as well as a great big thanks to the Parkland Mall for the use of the field located on their property. The organization acknowledges the Parkland Mall, saying they have the best natural grass soccer pitch in the province of Saskatchewan. Also a thanks goes out to the Yorkton Soccer Association for the use of their fieldliningequipment as well as to Adam Fetsch for all of hisvolunteerhours he puts in on field and equipmentmaintenance.

Yorkton United is hoping to carry this success into the upcoming indoor season which will start on Oct. 5 and carry through until March. Registrations can be picked up at the Canada Soccer Shop located in the Yorkville Shops on Second Ave. or on-line at www.yorktonunitedfc.com. Registrations can also be filled out at the first practice but preregistration isencouraged.
