POUNDMAKER CREE NATION — It has been a wet start to the Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Association event at Poundmaker Cree Nation.
The first two nights of the event were cancelled due to rainwith racing conditions deemed unsafe. However, hot summer conditions are in the forecast for Friday, which means the event is a go for 7 p.m..
The races also are a go for Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
This is the second stop for the tour on the season. From June 3 to 5 the opening event took place in Yorkton won by the team of Jamie Laboucane.
Laboucane currently leads the CPCA standings with 139 points, followed by Todd Baptiste at 135 and Logan Gorst at 133.
