The Kamsack Comprehensive Institute junior Spartan football team defeated the Watson team 48 to 18 in Watson on September 19.

“Our offensive units scored a touchdown on every series and looked very dominant,” said Tylor Lorenzo, a coach. Four touchdowns were scored by Josh Bielecki, two by Kade Wishnevetski and one each by Ryan Bear and Kayden Aker.

The defensive unit was very strong, stopping Watson’s offense numerous times, including an interception for a touchdown by Sadie McGriskin, which was unfortunately overturned by an offside penalty, Lorenzo said.

“Most of our team has been together for the last two or three years, but we have a lot of new additions, which strengthened our team,” he said. “Through hard work, dedication and commitment, we have been able to rebuild our football program here at KCI, with students starting as young as Grade 5.
