YORKTON - There was soccer action on the Parkland Mall pitch in Yorkton over the weekend.
Saturday in Prairie Soccer League U17 boys action local FC Forge dropped a 2-1 decision to ASTRA Soccer Academy. Griffin Striker had the lone side’s lone goal.
Sunday Striker and Jean Francios Mendes each scored for Forge FC in a 2-2 tie with visiting FCR BlueStars.
In PSL U15 boys action Forge FC was shut-out Saturday 4-0 by Saskatoon Alliance Blue.
Things went only marginally better for Forge FC Sunday as they lost 3-1 to QC United.
Noel Modi Nyeitak scored the lone Forge marker.
In PSL U13 action Forge FC hosted ASTRA Soccer Academy Saturday and FCR BlueStars Sunday, both games on the Logan Green pitches, but results were not posted at at the time of this writing.
