A co-ed slo-pitch tournament on July 11, during the Preeceville Lions Western Weekend, attracted 13 teams. Dig Deep defeated CTK to win the A side and Westside defeated Renslip for the win on the B side. Other teams entered were: Light Weights, Thunder Monkeys, Scared Hitless, Rama Rams, Bomb Squad, Sleeveless Bandits, Whitebear Warriors, the Bombers (Norquay) and the Liquor Pigs.
On July 12, four teams were entered in the men’s fastball tournament. Hudson Bay defeated Wynyard to win the A side and the B side was won by Kelvington which defeated CTK in the final.
A senior slo-pitch tournament was held July 12 with ?ve teams entered. The teams were from: Preeceville, Canora, Melville, Swan River and Kamsack.
Each team played three games, except for the home team from Preeceville. The teams from Swan River and Preecev-ille went through the tournament undefeated. Swan River triumphed over Canora, Melville and Kamsack. Preeceville defeated Kamsack and Melville.
Kamsack and Melville won one game apiece. Both teams won against Canora while Canora was unable to win a game. The rains, which were welcomed, came shortly after the tournament was competed.
