18U AA Expos played the Regina White Sox Tuesday

The Expos are in North Battleford Saturday to face the Unity Cardinals and the hometown Beavers.

YORKTON - The Parkland 18U AA Expos were in Regina Tuesday to take on the White Sox.

The teams traded first inning runs, and the Expos would score in the following innings with one in the second and fourth innings and two in each of the third and fifth frames for seven runs in total.

But, the White Sox kept pace with a big five runs in the second inning and one in the fourth, so the teams were deadlocked 7-7 headed to the sixth.

The visitors could not score in the sixth, but the Sox added three, then held on for a 10-7 win.

Justin Shanner was the winning pitcher for Regina. He tossed four innings, allowing four hits and five runs while striking out four.

Brayden Heistad threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Brett Smith took the loss for Parkland Expos. Smith surrendered three runs on four hits over one inning.

Evan Knezacek started the game for the Expos. He allowed six runs on five hits over one inning, striking out one and walking one.

The Expos had eight hits in the game with Matthew Spilchuk, Jeff Stewart, and Liam Baron all having multiple hits.
