Village of Lintlaw elects new mayor

Residents of the Village of Lintlaw elected a new mayor at the civic election on October 26. According to Kathy Ambrose, administrator, there were a total of 89 voters who cast their ballots.

            According to Kathy Ambrose, administrator, there were a total of 89 voters who cast their ballots.

            Bryce Murray defeated Irwin Lindholm by a vote of 53-36 for the mayor’s seat.

            The four councillors elected were: Tyler Andrerson with 87 votes; Darrell Lesser with 78 votes; Greg Smith with 73 votes, and a tie for the fourth seat.

            Brooke Murray and Leonard Johnson each received 53 votes.

            "With a tie, we had to put their names in a hat and make a draw," said Ambrose.

            Brooke Murray was the winning candidate.
