Victoria School students participate in Knights of Columbus annual nativity scene competition

Nativity scene posters were submitted to the Father Ruelle Council of the Knights of Columbus at Kamsack this month for judging in the Knights’ annual Nativity scene competition.

            Nativity scene posters were submitted to the Father Ruelle Council of the Knights of Columbus at Kamsack this month for judging in the Knights’ annual Nativity scene competition.

            A total of 62 posters from students in grades 1, 2, 3 and 4 were submitted, said Merv Polzen, an organizer of the annual competition. A selection of the posters was included in last week’s Christmas supplement of the Times.

            A first, second and third place winner was selected for each classroom and each winner was presented with a cash prize by Polzen on Friday.

            Winners, listed in order of first, second and third, are as follows:

            Grade 1A, Ava Tomkulak, Brooke Badger and Bethany Walterson; Grade 1B, Reese Quewezance, Joshua Vidomski and James Green; Grade 2A, Morgan Raffard, Bailee Chernoff and Takara Maciborski; Grade 2B, Ella Ruf, May Stone and Chloe Fisher; Grade 2C, Slade Shankowsky, Tylan Waugh and Joseph Dustyhorn Cote; Grade 3B, Melody Lin, Chaise Sterzer and Tyrone Keshane, and Grade 4A, Levi Erhardt.
