RM of Livingston ratepayers will be going to the poll next month to elect a new reeve.
Citing time restraints, former reeve Don Hrycenko resigned his seat at the June 16 regular meeting of council, Yvonne Bilsky, administrator, said.
Nominated by 4 p.m. on July 8 were Gerald Assoignon, retired, who had served as reeve in 2003 and 2004, and Irvin Chmil, a farmer.
The advance poll is set for August 8, and the regular voting will be held August 12.
The successful nominee will serve to the end of Hrycenko’s term which will be October 2016.
