Western Pups Paws and Claws Animal Rescue Team partnered with Pet Valu to celebrate National Pet Appreciation Month with a pet adoption weekend. Saturday and Sunday was cowboy themed, with puppies dressed in their western best. Photos, adoption, raffle prizes, silent auction and a BBQ were a few of the things available for customers to do. Ava Laevens happily cuddles one of the seven pups up for adoption during the weekend. Three adult dogs and fourteen cats were also looking for their forever homes.Michaela Miller
