SASKATOON — Saskatoon Police Service says a 49-year- old male is in custody following an incident that resulted in police deploying a conducted energy weapon Saturday morning.

At 11:12 a.m., on March 19 at a business in the 400 block of Confederation Drive, a male was observed to be carrying a large knife. Patrol officers arrived and located the subject, who appeared to be in a vulnerable state. The male immediately put the knife to his neck and indicated he was going to harm himself.
