SASKATOON — As drivers head out on the roads this morning, the Saskatoon Police Service are reminding residents to drive safe, as icy road conditions are present in the city.

Officers have already responded to multiple collisions this morning. Motorists are advised to slow down, allow for extra driving time, and allow extra stopping distance when approaching intersections and other vehicles.

If you see a collision or need assistance out on the roads, please call the Saskatoon Police Service at 306-975-8300 or 9-1-1 in an emergency.

According to the Highway Hotline, areas of Highway 16 and between Regina and Yorkton are being affected by wet conditions subject to freezing, some swirling snow and, in some area, visibility reduced by fog.
