SASKATOON — Hundreds from the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, their friends and allies filled the city streets for the Saskatoon Pride Festival and Pride Parade on Saturday, June 17.
Participants converged at Kiwanis Park on Spadina Crescent with various businesses and organizations showing their support with banners and floats.
The atmosphere was festive and celebratory as the parade snaked downtown, with participants waving rainbow-coloured paraphernalia or wearing symbols to support the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
To accommodate the Pride Parade, the City of Saskatoon made minor route adjustments and established temporary bus stops.
