Laketown Leaders welcome Phyllis McCallum home from three weeks of recovery in hosptial after a fall at home. Hope all the cards, flowers, visits, prayers, and calls help the healing!

Lakeside Manor, Saltcoats Care Home Mother's Day Raffle winners were: Marilyn Holstein with a Glass Bird Bath, Mary Schick with gift certificate from Mano's, Sharon Prazma taking home a flower arrangement, Kathy Stychshyn with a bath gift set, Randy Schick with chocolate mint bath, Paulette Namaka taking a solar light, Kenneth Jacobs getting a teapot and Gail Strukoff taking home the needlepoint cushion.

Saltcoats Anglican Church worship is at 9:00 a.m. Sundays unless otherwise posted. At present the services are being held in the lower hall until the upstairs renovations are complete Thanks for everyone's patience.

Congratulations to all who participated in Saltcoats School "Close Cuts for Cancer". Great job all you young people!

Saltcoats United Church worship is at 9:00 a.m. for June 3, 10, and 17. On June 24 the one service for the Four Town Pastoral charge will be in Saltcoats at 10:00 a.m. Mark your calendars for the July 9, 2012 Calstleton Service at 11:00 a.m. with pot luck to follow.

Saltcoats Library thanks everyone for supporting our annual fundraiser Mother's Day Strawberry Tea. It was a great day and such good attendance. The Door Prize of a table top fountain was won by Shirley Jowsey.

7th annual Salamander Walk/Run is Sat., June 9 starting at 8:00 a.m. Pick up registrations at the Saltocats Town Office. Registration is $25.00 a person or a family rate of $45.00. Call 744-2511 for more information. This event is sponsored by Saltcoats and District Regional Park.

Saltcoats Museum has been catering for fundraising in the past few weeks. The roof repair concern has been added to with an additional need to shore up the foundation. President Jim McCallum (744 2990) and Treasurer Glenda Straker (744 2900) would appreciate any volunteers to assist with a work bee.

The annual "Gratis" Street Party was held at 402 Commercial Avenue, Saltcoats on Sun., June 3 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. There were children amusements, food, mini horse and cart rides and the afternoon ended with Sundaes and Song.
